This lovely throw, in multiple shades and textures, will bring a touch of elegance to your lounging.
Approximately 38" x 40"
May be done either in the Ripple pattern stitch shown, or in garter stitch (simply knitting 8 rows of each color according to sequence).
Notes: Gauge: 5.5 stitches/inch
Ripple Pattern stitch: (Multiple of 18)
Row 1: Knit
Row 2: Purl
Row 3: *(K2tog)3 times, (yo, k1)6 times,(k2tog)3 times*.
Repeat from * to end of row.
Row 4: Knit.
Materials:
29 - 32 inch circular needle size 8
Size H crochet hook
Six yarns - approximately 180 yards of each. If your throw will be fringed, you will also need an additional 90 to 100 yards of the colors used at each end.
Directions
Lay your yarns out in an order that is pleasing to you. Assign a letter to each, A through F.
Using A, loosely cast on 216 stitches.
Work 8 rows of each yarn in sequence A,B,C,D,E,F.
Repeat step 2 three more times. Finish on wrong side. Bind off loosely.
Cut 12" strands of fringe color(s) for fringe - add two strands every other stitch on cast-on and bind off rows.
